Claddagh Kennels is a reputable and responsible breeder of AKC German Shorthaired Pointers located on Long Island in NY. We are dedicated to breeding healthy dogs with stable temperaments. Adherance to the GSP breed standard in both conformation and working abilty is a priority. Special attention is given to health testing our dogs before they are ever considered for breeding. We test for hip and elbow dysplasia, cardiac issues, general eye health, retinal cone degeneration and lupoid dermatosis. We are proud to have our dogs included in the Canine Health Information Center’s GSP database for dogs who have breed appropriate testing completed with public sharing of the results of these tests.
